JAMMU, May 3: Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu, Balbir Lal Jaswal today awarded 18 months imprisonment to a man for abandoning three minor daughters.
According to the police case, accused abandoned minor daughters in the age group of eight months to four years under a tree adjacent to the Railway Reservation Counter on October 16, 2010. The girls were noticed by the police, which registered a case under Section 317 RPC and arrested the father of the girls.
After hearing Senior PO Anil Dev Singh for the State, Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity convicted the accused and awarded him imprisonment of 18 months and fine of Rs 1000.
