One killed, another injured as car turns turtle

JAMMU, Aug 29: One person was killed and another injured when a car they were travelling in turned turtle in Jhajjar Kotli area of city outskirts.
“The mishap occurred today at about 2 AM when a rashly driven Baleno car bearing registration number JK04E-4553, which was on its way from Udhampur to Jammu, hit the divider of the road, jumped it and then turtle”, a police official said. He said that three young men were travelling in the ill fated car and out of them two sustained serious injuries in the mishap.
“The injured persons were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where one of them namely Raman Singh (21) son of Ramail Singh of Jhajjar Kotli, was declared as brought dead by the doctors while the other injured youth namely Puneet Singh (21) son of Surjeet Singh, resident of Rehmbal (Udhampur), was responding to the treatment”, the official added.
He said after completion of all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while a case in this connection was registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli and investigations started.
