UDHAMPUR, Sept 1: Advocate JD Slathia has been elected as president of District Bar Association, Udhampur.
The election was conducted under the supervision of Returning Officer, Senior Advocate Gulshan Singh Shan with the assistance of senior Bar members, Advocate Vijay Laxmi Sharma, Advocate Sanjeet Kumar, Advocate Rakesh Kumar and Tarun Mahajan.
There were two candidates in the fray for post of president in which JD Slathia was declared elected by securing 76 votes while Advocate Suriender Khajuria secured 41 votes.
For general secretary’s post, Advocate Pawan Handa was declared elected as he secured 68 votes while his opponent Advocate Anil Kumar Sharma got 47 votes.
Meanwhile for cashier’s post, Advocate Ajay Singh Wazir was elected unopposed.
