3 bike lifters held, 7 motorcycles seized

KATHUA, May 3: The police arrested three members of a bike lifters gang and  recovered seven stolen motor-cycles from their possession.
A police spokesman said that on the basis of a complaint on April 21, the police registered a case and started investigation. During hot chase with the help of public three accused persons namely Shashi Paul, son of Kishore Kumar, Gagan, son of Gorakh Ram and Lakhvinder Singh, son of Karam Chand, residents of Pathankote were arrested near Maggar Khud. One stolen motor-cycle was recovered from their possession.
These youth were placed under sustained interrogation. On their disclosure seven bikes including a Scooty Activa with Engine No. JF08E54611981, were recovered from their possession. The recovery included Motor Cycle Bajaj Discover with Engine No. DXEBM67650, Motor Cycle Passion with Engine No. 07K05M73190, Motor Cycle Bajaj Discover with Engine No. DEGBNL84898, another Passion Motor with Engine No. 05L08C34431, Motor Cycle CD 125 with Egn No. JAMBPG21649 and Motor cycle Bajaj Platina BP13T 2569.
