Drug peddlers arrested, 150 intoxicant capsules recovered

SAMBA, Sept 4: In its continuous drive to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, district police Samba arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 150 intoxicant capsules.
A police party of Police Station, Samba headed by Inspector, Chanchal Singh, SHO Samba under the direct supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba and on the directions of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba
during surprise check point at Railway Crossing, Nanke Chack Supwal, intercepted two persons on suspicious grounds. During frisking, two polythene bags of 75 Capsules each (Parvon Spas Plus) were recovered from their possession.
Police said the accused were identified as Ashwani Kumar S/o Dharan Chand and Ranjeet Singh @ Kaka S/o Girdara Singh both R/o Koulpur tehsil Ramgarh, district Samba. The accused were arrested on the spot and the contraband items were also seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 235/2018 U/S 48 (F) Excise Act stands registered at P/S Samba and further investigation is going on.
