JAMMU, Sept 4: A woman was killed today in a road mishap near Gujjar Nagar Tawi bridge.
“Saviter Kour (50) wife of late Harbaksh Singh, resident of Channi Rama, received serious injuries this morning when a scooty she was riding, was hit by an unknown vehicle near university gate on Gujjar Nagar side”, a police official said.
He said the injured woman was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors. “After postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites while a case in this connection was registered at police station Bagh-e-Bahu and investigations started”, he added.
