MENDHAR, Sept 4: The police today arrested two National Conference activists for allegedly raising pro-Azadi and anti-India slogans during protest rally at Mendher town recently.
A police spokesman said that on the basis of inputs, the two accused persons were today arrested from Uchhad village in Mankote. They are identified as Mohd Shafiq, son of Mohd Aziz and Mohd Arif, son of Mohd Sadiq, both residents of Uchhad.
The police said two more NC workers have been identified and they will also be nabbed tonight or tomorrow. They were wanted in case FIR No. 145/ 2018, the police said.
