Dogra Law College gives scholarship to its meritorious students

SAMBA, Sept 4: In a scholarship distribution ceremony, Dogra Law College distributed cheques amounting Rs 1,25,000 among 25 meritorious students of different semesters of BA LLB 5 years course and LLB 3 years professional course.
Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest while Seema Shekhar, Additional Advocate General, J&K High Court was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
The programme started with lighting of traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana.
Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Komila Aggarwal, Officiating Principal of Dogra Law College.
The Chief Guest congratulated the meritorious students and praised the College management for organizing such a ceremony to encourage and honour the meritorious students.
Guest of Honour, Seema Shekhar in her address said that scholarships acts as a prop for the students to achieve excellence in life and nurtures them to move forward. She also said that the only way to excel in life is by work hard.
The function was presided over by Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman Dogra Educational Trust.
He stressed upon the role of young advocates in shaping the future destiny of nation.
Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Member Trustee Dogra Educational Trust, Bela Thakur, Principal Dogra Degree College, Dr. Vikesh Sharma, Principal Dogra College of Education and others were also present on the occasion.
Mementoes were also presented by the Chief Guest to students of different semesters to honour them for securing top positions in university examination.
Vote of thanks was presented by Shuchi Sharma, Lecturer Dogra Law College.
