JAMMU, Dec 30: A pilgrim hailing from New Delhi, died after he was hit by a stone while on way to the holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi nestled in Trikuta hills.
Police spokesman said that, Durga Nath, resident of New Delhi was on his way to the cave shrine when he was hit by a stone which rolled down from a hill-top last night.
He was critically injured and was rushed to hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead, spokesman added.
The body was handed over to the legal heirs after completion of legal formalities.
