POONCH, Dec 30: The police arrested an absconder wanted in rape case after a long span of seven months today.
A police spokesman said that one Zahoor Ahmed, son of Mohd Sadiq, resident of Deri Lagiot ( Mendhar), who was wanted by Mendhar police in case FIR No. 53/ 2012 under Section 376 RPC was arrested from Manjakote area of Rajouri today. A local court had issued warrants against him under Section 512 CrPC. He was arrested after a lapse of seven months.
