RAJOURI, Sept 6: A youth was electrocuted when he was trying to remove a snag in the electric transformer of the PDD at his village in Kalakote tehsil of district Rajouri late last evening.
Police sources said that power supply to the entire Mangrote village near Tatapani, was snapped after some fault in the transformer. Some local youth tried to change the fuse at the transformer. When one of them having some knowledge, was engaged in changing the fuse, he was trapped in the live cables and sustained severe electric shock and burn injuries. He was rushed to Tatapani hospital where he was declared as dead.
He was identified as Mohd Abbas (24), son of Mohd Amin, resident of Mangrote. The police has taken cognizance of the mater.
