CEC releases first ever Arabic text book

LEH, Dec 31 : Developed by DIET, Leh and written by Hafiz Ghulam Mohd Dar Nadvi, the first ever Arabic text book for the Government Schools of Leh was released today by Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Rigzin Spalbar. The Arabic text book titled ” Ta-Alamia Arabia” is believed to be the first ever text book of  Jammu & Kashmir in Arabic subject.
Addressing a large number of teachers on the concluding function of weeklong Orientation/Content Trainings under RAMSA to the Masters of Leh distt, the CEC appreciated the endeavor of DIET headed by  Principal Konchok Angmo and Hafiz Ghulam Mohd Dar Nadvi  in bringing out this  Arabic Text book and termed this development as one of the historic achievement for  Leh district.
Spalbar said, “the biggest challenge ahead for teaching community is to bring back the dying Govt schools on right track by transforming the institutions with quality education”. Reiterating the Council’s policy and commitment to give top priority to education sector, Spalbar assured that funds will not become hampering in the development and progress of education. He also spoke about the positive signs in education sector after introducing pre nursery classes and bringing change in the annual examination session of 10th and 12th Classes in October and urged the teaching community to mention  these positive rhythm.
Expressing anguish over only 60-65 % involvement of masters in the week long important training, CEC said that he will take strict  action against Chief Education Office, Leh for this negligence  and ordered to withheld his pay at first instance. Spalbar said that such trainings are being conducted with a major purpose to upgrade the teaching skill of the teachers and any negligence in this regard by any of teachers would not be tolerated in future.
The Executive Councilor Higher Education Gh. Abass Abadi, Councilor Lasu Shafi, Councilor Gh. Sydeen and Hafiz Ghulam Mohd Dar Nadvi highlighted the value, importance and scope of Arabic language in India and abroad.
Earlier, the Principal DIET Konchok Angmo explained in detail about the fixture of  further course of trainings  in the coming months for teachers  and put forth various demand and problems of DIET which includes filling up of all the 17 vacant posts of senior lecturers and 5 HoDs in DIET in order to make this training institute full-fledged and oriented.
