‘People equal stakeholders in growth, development’

JAMMU, Sept 9: Member Legislative Assembly, Chander Prakash Ganga today kick started Rs. 80 lakh blacktopping work on two km road from Rahya Chowk to Rajender Singh Pura under City and Town Programme.
The MLA exhorted upon the executing agencies to put in hard efforts to ensure quality and timely completion of this prestigious project so that the utility is dedicated to the public in time.
The MLA, while addressing the mammoth gathering after launching the work, reaffirmed the commitment towards ensured enhanced basic amenities to the people at their doorsteps with emphasis on quality education, healthcare, road network, water and power supply.
He appreciated the people’s cooperation and participation in successful implementation of welfare and development schemes being launched by the State and the Center Government. “People are the equal stakeholders in ensuring progress and prosperity in their respective areas”, he added.
Ganga took stock of issues of the people of the area besides reviewing the status of several development works being executed there. He emphasized the locals to keep a strict vigil over development works being done in their respective areas, which is imperative for optimum results. “It is my sincere endeavor to take up the public issues at the appropriate forum for redressal’’. He assured the people that all their issues have been recorded and would be taken up with the concerned for an early redressal, besides he asked the accompanying officers to take special care of issues raised by the people of this far off village and redress the same at the earliest.
The MLA also spelled out several initiatives of Modi Government and emphasized the need of taking these schemes to each section of the society. He also informed the people about various innovative schemes launched by the Modi Government for welfare and development of poor and under privileged segments of the society and exhorted upon the people to bring themselves under the ambit of these schemes to empower them socially, economically and politically.
