RAMBAN, Sept 9: Banihal police rescued a minor girl and arrested the kidnapper from Srinagar.
As per police sources, on September 5 this year, a complaint was filed by family members with Police Station Banihal stating that their minor daughter has been kidnapped by Freed Ahmed Gujjar, son of Nazir Gujjar of Hinjhall Tehsil Banihal and has taken her to some unknown place.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 147/18 under Sections 363 and 109 RPC was registered at Banihal Police Station and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
During the course of investigation, various suspects were rounded up and on the basis of human intelligence and technical collaboration, a team from Banihal Police Station was dispatched to Valley, which rescued the kidnapped girl from Kinmoh area of Pantha Chowk Srinagar and arrested the kidnapper.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Banihal Inspector Aejaz Wani and assisted by SI Sameer Ahmed rescued the girl and arrested the kidnapper under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajjad Sarwar, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
