SVO presents challan against Resident Manager SIDCO in corruption case

JAMMU, Jan 1: State Vigilance Organization (SVO) today presented challan against Mohd Elyas Kraipak, Resident Manager J&K SIDCO, New Delhi and his brother-in-law Mohd Iqbal Naqash for fraudulently drawing excess house rent of self owned accommodation.
According to the Vigilance case, Mohd Elyas Kraipak hatched a criminal conspiracy with Mohd Iqbal Naqash, who happens to be his brother-in-law, with the sole objective to dishonestly and fraudulently cause transfer of his self owned accommodation at Delhi to Mohd Iqbal Naqash to draw excess rent during the financial year 2005-2006 and first six months of year 2006-2007.
In furtherance of this criminal conspiracy, Mohd Elyas Kraipak in league with his brother-in-law adopted a unique modus operandi for releasing excess rent in respect of his self owned accommodation by executing an agreement to sell in favour of Mohd Iqbal Naqash and made loss to the tune of Rs 3, 57, 651 to the State exchequer.
After completion of investigation, Vigilance presented challan in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu against Mohd Elyas Kraipak, Resident Manager J&K SIDCO, New Delhi and his brother-in-law Mohd Iqbal Naqash.
