Meeting of State BJP office bearers held

JAMMU, Sept 15: Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, who had earlier served as J&K BJP’s general secretary (Org), said that the Party has progressed with its good works and sacrifices throughout the Nation and exuded confidence that the BJP will score better performance in the coming time in the state of J&K, by winning hearts of people.
He said this while sharing his experiences with the State party leaders during a meeting of State office bearers at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar. The meeting started with the lightening of traditional lamp and recitation of organizational song.
The meeting was attended by all State office bearers and Morcha State presidents. It was chaired by BJP State vice-president Harinder Gupta. He was also accompanied by former Deputy CM Kavinder Gupta, MP Lok Sabha, Jugal Kishore Sharma and State general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul.
Chief Minister of Haryana State, Manohar Lal Khattar along with the J&K BJP State president, Ravinder Raina (MLA) also later joined and addressed the meeting.
Ravinder Raina, in his presidential address, emphasized that the regular meetings within the party serve the purpose of introspection by the party and its leaders, which helps in the smooth and efficient working of organization. He stressed that such a strategy should be formed and included in the resolution so that its effects are visible on the ground.
Harinder Gupta, while addressing the meeting, said that the office bearers’ meeting helps to finalize the issues to be put forth in front of the State Working Committee Meeting, which comprises of all the senior leaders of the party. He said that these meetings stand witness to the detailed threadbare discussions on several important public issues and will include the important points in the resolution to be adopted in the working committee meeting.
Kavinder Gupta said that every leader participating in the meeting must come up with a vision. He also termed the resolution as a reckoning force acting as a bridge between the organizational working and policy implementation by the government.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his address, talked in detail about the Urban Local Body (ULB) as well as Panchayat elections. He said that the BJP led Governments have always worked to serve the people beyond any self interest. He also expressed his views on the formulation of the draft of political resolution to be adopted in the working committee meeting.
Ashok Kaul focused primarily on the organizational issues wherein all the developments of the organization were elaborated. He also acquainted the leaders in detail of various forthcoming organizational programmes.
Brig (Retd) Anil Gupta presented the draft of the resolution before the office bearers after which all the leaders were prompted to share their ideas and improvements before the final draft to be tabled before the working committee members.
Earlier in the morning, the Haryana Chief Minister laid foundation stone of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Public School at Nowshera to be constructed by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Educational Trust (Charitable) Jammu and Kashmir. He also announced Rs 31 lakh and one day of his salary for the construction of school building.
