Various road projects launched in Nagrota

DANSAL, Sept 16: National Conference Provincial President Devender Singh Rana today asserted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will not make any compromise with state subject laws as these relates with their rights, dignity and identity.
‘The issue is not only to defend and protect state subject laws but the larger issue is to identify fake state subject holders and to punish them as per law for committing fraud with people of the State in general and Jammu in particular’, Rana said while interacting with the people at the launch of various prestigious projects of road network and connectivity in the constituency today.
He reiterated the commitment of the National Conference to offer any sacrifice for protecting this constitutional proviso, and said that every move to tinkering with state subject laws will meet peoples’ stiff resistance.
Referring to launch of two important road projects, Rana lauded the people of Nagrota for their urge for development, saying this has been a great source of inspiration for him as their representative to push and pursue the developmental needs in right perspective for expeditious execution and implementation of various projects.
The MLA congratulated the people on start of work on 15 kilometer road from Jhajjar Kotli to Badsoo via Chadali, involving a cost of Rs 15 crore under CRF. The road is designed to provide connectivity to village Dansal and adjoining area thus improving the mobility. He said road network assumes greater significance in rural areas, not only for the commuters but carrying on farm activity as well. Similarly, he said, the 3.5 kilometer road from Urlani to Pali, including a 28 meter span bridge at a cost of Rs 8 crore will go a long way in meeting the long standing aspirations of the people.
He said that the people of Nagrota constituency were craving for development, which is why they had been providing all necessary support in implementation of various programmes, aimed at overall public good. He hoped the synergised efforts by the administration and the people will manifest in fast track development of the constituency.
He said development forms core of the Nagrota constituency, having potential of expansion as a model housing extension in the close vicinity of the capital city. He said the constituency has all the ingredients to grow as an economic, academic and sports hub, given its vast potentialities in each sector.
Responding to various issues listed by the people, Rana said that he has already sought better avenues of jobs for local youth, being the primary stakeholders, in the institutions like IIM and IIT besides Jammu zoo. He said he has been emphasisng on earmarking a quota in subordinate and support staff of these institutions.
Rana assured the people that he will highlight their issues at every fora so that their problems are mitigated earnestly.
Later, the Provincial President chaired a meeting of workers at Panchayat Kanyala and exhorted them to reach out to the people and project their problem at appropriate forum for redressal. On the occasion large number of youth, including Narayan Dutt Sharma, Sunil Kumar, Deepak Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Pankaj Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Hitanshu Jamwal, Deepak Sharma, Neeraj Sharma, Jagdesh Chander, Subash Chander, Jeevan Lal Sharma, Sudesh Raina, Kiran Malhotra , Ramesh Chander and others joined National Conference and reposed their faith in the policies and programme of the party.
