Youth serious in mine blast

JAMMU, May 3: A youth was seriously injured in a mine blast while grazing cattle near the Line of Control (LoC) at village Salhutri in Poonch district this afternoon.
He has been identified as Mohammad Aziz, 32, son of Mohammad Akbar, a resident of Salhutri.
The youth lost his leg in the powerful blast. He was evacuated from the spot and shifted to District Hospital, Poonch in serious condition. He was being referred to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital in Jammu.
Meanwhile, security forces recovered a live mine from border village of Pansar in Kathua district.
A Bomb Disposal Squad defused the mine.
