RAJOURI, Sept 22: A shopkeeper was murdered by some unidentified assailants at his shop at Shanti Nagar Nowshera, here last night.
The deceased was identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Ram Lal of Lowka, presently staying at Shanti Nagar, Nowshera. He was assaulted with rod by the unidentified assailant, who fled the scene after leaving his victim in a pool of blood.
On being spotted and informed by some passersby, Police rushed to the spot and shifted the critically wounded shopkeeper to hospital where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his critical. However, he succumbed to the injuries on way to Jammu.
Even as the police is still clueless in the murder incident, which took place around 8.30 pm, a suspect has been rounded up for questioning by the Nowshera Police, which has registered a case for further investigation.
