DB directives in PIL seeking better facilities in hospitals

JAMMU, Sept 22: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking better facilities in the health institutions, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta has issued several directions to the State and sought compliance report once in every three months.
After hearing Advocate Parveen Kapahi for the PIL filed by Ravinder Singh whereas Govt Advocate KDS Kotwal for the State, DB directed State to ensure that the adequate doctors, paramedical staff and nursing orderlies are provided in the Government hospitals to ensure best treatment to the patients.
The DB also issued directions for ensuring proper stock of medicines in the hospitals and availability of one specialized doctor in all the medical units to tackle emergent situation besides seeking compliance report once in every three months.
