JAMMU, Sept 23: Eight persons were injured today when a speeding mini-bus turned turtle in Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02Q-1271 which was on its way from Nagrota to Jammu turned turtle this afternoon on National Highway at about 1.5 kilometre away from TCP Nagrota towards Jammu.
He said in the mishap, eight passengers travelling in the mini-bus got injured. They were identified as Suman Lata (35) wife of Tirath Ram, resident of Canal Road (Jammu), Krishan Pandita (40) son of Damodar Pandita, resident of Jagti Colony and Mohan Singh (42) son of Chanchal Singh, Simmi (32) wife of Gopal, Jyoti (35) wife of Mohan Lal, Kramit Ali (66) son of Faqir Mohd, Sanjay Raina (52) son of Neel Kanth and Hasaan Din (38) son of Karam Din, all residents of Nagrota.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while Nagrota police had registered a case in this connection and started investigations.
