JAMMU, Sept 25: The ongoing indefinite chain hunger strike by Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (TJAC) today entered into 27th consecutive day at Jammu and 23rd day at Srinagar.
The teachers who sat on 24 hour fast this morning, included; Dinesh Singh, Ranjit Singh, Suresh Kumar, Raghubir Singh, Jimmy Sambyal , Vimal Singh, Balkar Singh, Subash Atri , Bishan Shastri , Kabal Singh Surinder Sharma and Bodh Raj.
A large number of teachers assembled at the venue of hunger strike and held a strong sit in protest demonstration against the casual approach of the Government towards SSA Teachers and Masters who have been deprived of 7th Pay Commission till date and their salaries have not been de-linked.
