JAMMU, Sept 27: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today flagged off Start-up India J&K Yatra organized by JKEDI to encourage the youth of the State to implement their creative ideas and make innovations.
Div Com was informed that the Yatra van will travel all the districts and hold boot camps in the Government universities, engineering colleges, polytechnic, ITI and other institutions. He was also informed that during Yatra there will be ten boot camps and ten van stops.
While addressing the gathering, Div Com hoped that Start-up yatra will give confidence to the youths to start their own businesses and develop a good number of entrepreneurs in the State. He asked the officers of EDI to make every effort in order to fulfill the dreams of youth aspiring to be entrepreneurs.
He said that the Yatra will reach each and every district of state in order to generate more business and employment opportunity. He appealed to the aspiring youths who have new ideas and are willing to achieve something in life to avail benefit from the government aided schemes made for educated unemployed youths of the state.
Div Com said that the unemployed youths who want to start their own business but have a paucity of funds would be aided by the government. He also appreciated the JKEDI for initiating Startup yatra in the state.
Yatra van is equipped with facilities for individuals and startups to pitch their ideas. The boot camps will include presentations on Startup India and J&K Startup policy followed by extensive ideation and workshops.
Team members of Startup India, officials from JKEDI besides students from various institutions were present on the occasion.
