POONCH, Sept 28: The police recovered a young girl hailing from Mendhar area of Poonch, from Chandigarh today and arrested a youth in this connection.
Official sources said that action was taken after the parents of 24-year-old girl hailing from Kas Baladi in Mankote tehsil of Poonch reported that their daughter has been kidnapped by one youth namely Mohd Amzad, son of Mohd Latief, resident of Uchhad in Mankote tehsil. She had been kidnapped on August 25, 2018 and remained untraced since then.
The police party from Mendhar after getting some clues conducted raid at Chandigarh today and recovered the girl. The youth was arrested and was being brought to Mendhar, the police said.
