JAMMU, Sept 28: Different organisations here today celebrated the birth anniversary of renowned historic martyr Bhagat Singh.
Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu in collaboration with Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation organized a free medical camp at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk to mark the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh.
Over 750 persons suffering from different ailments benefitted from the camp where free medicine were distributed.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. S.P Varma Padamshree apprised the people about the role of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his comrades in freedom struggle.
Dr. Taran Singh, Medical superintendent Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu, Dr. Deepa Kachru, Dr. Harbaksh Singh, Dr. Amit Gupta, Ashok Naru Supervisor Pharmacist, Deepak Kumar Pharmacist, Shiv Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Sat Pal and Ravel Kumar extended their services for the successful camp.
Meanwhile, S.S Sodhi, Chairman, J&K Intellectual Civil Society, New Delhi organized a special assembly with all the members of the Civil Society and offered floral tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his 111th Birth Anniversary.
All the members observed a two minutes silence.
Speaking on the occasion, Sodhi stated that Shaheed Bhagat Singh was the most influential revolutionary in Indian Independence Movement.
Birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh was celebrated with great devotion and patriotic fervour by Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Chand Nagar Jammu.
A heartfelt tribute was paid to the martyr who sacrificed his life at a very tender age.
