UDHAMPUR, Sept 28: In a tragic incident a youth drowned in a water tank at his house in Battal Balian Udhampur, here this evening.
The deceased was identified as 28 years old Ram Murti, son of Vishambar Dutt of Battal Balian Udhampur. He was taking out water from underground tank with the help of a bucket when he suddenly slipped into the tank and drowned.
Family member fished him out and rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur where Doctors declared him as brought dead. Later, the body was shifted to mortuary room for postmortem while Udhampur Police has registered the case for investigation.
