Saroori seeks CM’s intervention for power, LPG supply in Doda

JAMMU, Jan 13: Senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has expressed serious concern over non availability of power and LPG in several areas of erstwhile district Doda.
In a statement issue here Saroori said that in view of the harsh winters, the hardships of the people have increased manifold because of non availability of power and LPG. He said that many transformers have been damaged while the Power Development Department was not replacing the same. Listing Hura Tatani, Saroor, Khara, Trankel, Kansoo, Katota Drought, Gwass, Drabshallah, and Chatroo areas where power supply has collapsed, he demanded replacement of damaged transformers there.
Saroori also urged the Government to initiate measures to curb black marketing of LPG cylinders and stressed the need for home delivery of cooking gas.
He appealed the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah who is also holding Power Department to intervene in the matter personally so that people may not suffer any more.
