UDHAMPUR, Sept 29: Writer and poetess, Sharma Antra was awarded with Rishi Dadhichi Ratna Samman by Rishi Dadhichi Trust at Barwala Hisar Haryana.
She was honoured for her epic collection `Shree Parshuram Akhyan’ and `Antra Kavita Sangrah’. Writers, social workers and intellectuals from all over the country were also honoured in this function. Antra was given a certificate, picture of Maharishi Dadhichi and honoured with Haryanvi turban.
Her book Shri Parshuram Akhyan is detailed with description of Bhagwan Shri Parshuram. She devoted her valuable four years to read all the religious books, Vedas, Puranas, Ramayana and Mahabharata to collect the information. She also searched on Google and other sources and thus compiled all the information about Bhagwan Shree Parshuram and important places related to Shree Parshuram. She also wrote 40 lines poem describing the greatness and depth of Sanatan Dharma.
Earlier, she has written Shri Parshuram Chalisa which is very popular in India and abroad. It has been sung by renowned singer Sunil Sharma of Jammu.
Antra’s poetic collection has been dedicated to martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan. Her poems cover social and patriotic topics like mother, women empowerment, nature, daughters, environment, nationalism etc.
Her poems on Maharaja Hari Singh and Maharaja Gulab Singh are also very popular. Soon she is going to publish two new books, one on Ghazals and another on Dogri songs and poems.
