JAMMU, Oct 1: 397th Kanyagat Sahib Sapthami Hawan was performed today at Mata Shree Roopbhawani Temple, Talab Tillo, near here. On this occasion of Pitra Pakash Sahib Sapthami known as Kanyagat Sapthami, Shri Alakh Sahibi Trust organized Hawan every year in which devotees from all over State participate with full fervor and enthusiasm. An incarnation of Shree Sharika Bhagwati, an important deity of Kashmir has the devotee followings through out the world.
Celebrations of Hawan started from the mid night of 30th September with Kalsh Pooja. Devotees assembled throughout the night. Whole campus reverberated with the
Singing of Bajans and Mata Shree Roopbhawani Aradhana.
Hawan culminated after Purn Ahuti and serving of Prashad to devotees. On this occasion the president of Shri Alakh Sahiba Trust which manages and maintains all the temples & Taposthals of Mata Shree Roopbhawani informed the devotees that 400th Birthday will be celebrated in 2021 in which the Trust is trying to get the Postal Stamp issued by the Government.
Well known thinker, author and one of the few scholars of Mata Shree Roopbhawani Mysticism Satish Dhar was the Yajmaan at the auspicious Hawan.
Another hawan was performed at Mata Roopbhawani temple Sharda Colony, Patoli Brahmana under the chairmanship of Avtar Krishan Dhar. A large number of devotees thronged the temple to participate in religious function and paid their obeisance to Mata. A Bhajan Kirtan was also performed on the occasion and some religious scholars threw light on the spiritual life of Mata.
The function was also attended by BJP MLC, Ajay Bharti, BJP district president Jammu Rural, Omi Khajuria and some religious scholars.
