BJP expels 15 rebel candidates

JAMMU, Oct 3: Giving a strong message to the rebels and those activists who are launching a misinformation campaign against BJP, party today expelled 15 rebel candidates from its membership for filing nomination papers against the official candidates in the elections of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
The decision was taken in a meeting of the Party’s Election Management Committee here which was headed by State president of the Party, Ravinder Raina, MLA.
The meeting also took the stock of the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections and it issued directives to party cadres to fan in each and every ward of JMC and other municipal committees in districts and other towns and apprise the people about the countless public welfare decisions taken by Narendra Modi led Government for the State.
The party activists who were expelled include Jatin Sethi, Omkar Singh Bose, Deepak Kumar, Kulbushan Vohra, Subash Sharma, Raj Kumar, Kulbir Sambyal, Trilochan Wazir, Tarsem Choudhary, Dhan Sarup, Rajinder Gupta, Sunny Segal, Anita Gupta, Balbir Gupta and Vikram Dogra.
The Party also made a strong warning to those activists who are campaigning for rebel candidates and asked them to mend their ways and work for official candidates in their respective wards failing which stern action will also be taken against them.
Meanwhile, BJP State president Ravinder Raina reiterated that BJP is committed to welfare of the people of all three regions of the State and serving the last man in the last queue to fulfil the dream of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
He said BJP Government at Centre took some historical decisions for the development of the J&K State and welfare of its people which included granting of reservation to people of International Border on the analogy of LoC residents, four lanning of Akhnoor road, agreement on Shahpur Kandi Project, setting up of Seed Processing plant at Kathua, conservation of Devika, Udhampur, starting work on AIIMS, construction of three medical colleges in Jammu and two in Valley, IIT and IIM for Jammu, enhancing honorarium of SPOs, granting of seventh Pay Commission benefits to SSA teachers, starting work on construction of Zojila Tunnel etc. These all decisions are aimed at welfare of people this border State which has been neglected by previous governments, he added.
