JAMMU, Oct 3: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir front (SKF) J&K was held today at jagti Township under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president JTC/ SKF.
The meeting discussed different problems being faced by the migrant community in general and the migrants putting up at Jagti Migrant township in particular who are presently confronted to lot of sufferings due to damaged and dilapidated conditions of their residential quarters.
While addressing the participants , Shadi Lal Pandita said that Relief Organisation has taken up renovation of the quarters by providing and laying of floor and wall tiles and work had taken up by the contracts, which among other things also included repairs of roofs, kitchen, bathrooms crack & leakages.
Pandita said however the works have been stopped for the reasons best known to the authorities. He said it seems that some vested interests have managed their influence in getting the repair work stopped which is grave injustices.
He demanded that the Relief Organization should ensure repairs of the quarters without any further delay.
The meeting further demand fencing of the township complex with providing of entry gates at entry and exist points.
