JAMMU, Oct 4: Eco Club of Government College for Women (GCW), Parade Ground Jammu today launched a vigorous campaign against Polythene on the college campus.
Eco- ambassadors of club did an exhaustive campaign in different parts of college campus. Posters and placards with slogans were made by these volunteers to make this campaign more effective. Student volunteers visited all parts of college campus apprising students about dangerous effects of polythene on all living organisms, including human beings. Eco-ambassadors also told these students to completely stop use of polythene in college and also in personal life.
Principal of the college, Prof Hemla Aggrawal, while addressing the students, said that it should be our priority to make the college polythene free for which all students and staff have to work in co-ordination. The campaign was organized by “Eco Club” under the supervision of Dr Anju Koul, Dr Arti Sharma and Prof Upasna.
