JAMMU, Oct 4: Sampoorn Kashmir Sanghattan (SKS) while fully endorsing the Government decision to hold the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections in the strife -torn J&K State, today said that it is fully behind the BJP’s decision to involve the Kashmiri Pandits the indigenous people of Valley in poll process.
In a statement issued here, today, SKS said results of Municipal elections are yet to come but land of original pilgrimage has shown its power and has garlanded many Kashmiri Pandits with victory in these elections.
While expressing its jubilations over the victory of the KP candidates who won on BJP ticket SKS also complimented BJP for this decision.
SKS said it is matter of pride that its president, Rakesh Koul won the elections from Mattan, Anantnag on BJP ticket.
It said one more SKS supporting candidate Avinash Bhat was elected from Kulgam as an independent candidate.
It said SKS delegation under chairmanship Anoop Koul has met with Central ministers, Dr Jitendra Singh ,Hansraj Ahir and Mukhtar Abhas Naqvi. Koul has discussed in length with all three ministers the future prospects and possibilities as well as has given suggestions how to move ahead to bring Valley on normal pathway.
General secretary of SKS Bharat Kachroo has asked BJP High Command that time has come to think for Kashmiri Pandits rehabilitation. He reminded BJP led Central Government that Kashmiri Pandits have time to time proved their loyalty and sincerity towards nation and this is their one more live example that even living in exile for last 30 years they have not hesitated in coming forward and contesting elections by throwing their lives in risk.
