DLSA organises awareness camp

SAMBA, Oct 4: Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) also Principal District and Sessions Judge Samba, R.K Wattal here today organised an awareness camp at Vijaypur in collaboration with district administration Samba.
The camp was on the topic ‘social welfare schemes, connecting unorganised sectors/workers and benefits under Government schemes, NRHM schemes for weaker section, road safety and accidents.’
Chairman TLSC (CJM), Shabnam Sheikh, Secretary DLSA (Munsiff JMIC) made the gathering aware regarding different schemes and their implementation at grass-root level.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Vijay Kumar, SDM Vijaypur, Bhopinder Singh (Public Prosecutor), Raman Sharma, Labour Inspector, Nithi Gandotra, Community Health Officer, Basant Singh, Senior Assistant at District Social Welfare, Ramneek Kour, Supervisor ICDS and Madan Lal, Motor Vehicle Inspector.
Chairman DLSA spoke on the importance of the role of public functionaries in delivering services to the public at departmental level.
He informed the local administration and public that as per NLSA guidelines mega camps are required to be organised at district level in which various departments have to coordinate with each other and collaborate with DLSA for providing utility services to the public.
Retainer Lawyers, DLSA/TLSC, PLV and DLSA staff also participated in the camp.
