KISHTWAR, Oct 6: Continuing its drive against shopkeepers responsible behind littering of roads by way of throwing waste material openly on roads, Municipal Committee Kishtwar compounded fine to the tune of Rs 4400 against erring shopkeepers.
Fine to the tune of Rs 3300 were compounded on Friday from three erring shopkeepers namely Touseef Ahmed, Sharma Glass and Sajad Ahmed Najar while today Rs 1100 were compounded against erring shopkeepers namely Mohd Shafi, Ashok Kumar, Mohd Iqbal, Usam Sharma, Bilal Ahmed, Khisha Mohd, Irshad Ahmed, Parveen Kumar, Liayaqat Hussain and Saib Din.
It is pertinent to mention, that on October 4, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana personally made visit of Main Bazar and on his directions authorities of Municipal Committee imposed fine against 10 shopkeepers and collected fine to the tune of Rs 3200.
