UDHAMPUR, Oct 9: A couple fell down into a deep gorge while cutting grass from a hill, resulting in the death of husband, in Latti area of Chenani in district Udhampur last evening.
Official sources said that Bishan Dass (50), son of Shiv Dass and his wife Saro Devi (45), residents of village Pundal in Latti had gone to Kund Forest area to collect green fodder for the cattle. Both of them were slipped into a deep gorge. While Bishan Dass was killed on the spot, Saro Devi in serious condition was removed to Latti Hospital by the villagers and later she was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu. Her condition was said to be serious.
