MHA issues order for bifurcation of migrants ration cards

JAMMU, Oct 9: The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued the order for bifurcation of ration cards for migrants putting up in Delhi and NCR.
The instructions in this regard were given to Delhi Government by MHA Under Secretary Sunil Kumar recently.
The issue of bifurcation of ration cards of Kashmiri migrants putting up in Union Capital was taken by Sampooran Kashmir Sangathan (SKS) headed by Anoop Kaul its chairman who along with the other members of his team including president, Rakesh Kaul and general secretary, Bharat Kachroo held series of meetings with MHA and Chief Secretary, Delhi Government.
In a statement issued here, today SKS said the decision which came for the first time in 29 years is a victory for the displaced people putting up in Delhi and NCR.
The SKS handout further said that the organization followed the issue with both MHA and Delhi Government for complete nine months as Delhi Government sought clarifications every now and then from the MHA before issuing the order.
Bharat Kachroo said that his organization is pursuing the Delhi Government to introduce single window system in settling the migrants’ problems.
