SRINAGAR, Oct 10: A GREF Adalat was held by BRO at Leh today to resolve the long outstanding pay and allowances and personal claims in respect of GREF personnel of Project Himank and Vijayak.
The GREF Adalat is part of move to reach out to GREF personnel deployed at extremely hard and high altitude areas of Ladakh region and will continue till Oct 12.
J Lhungdim, IDAS, inaugurated the Adalat by lighting the lamp and while speaking on the occasion said that his team will make all the efforts to resolve the discrepancies and issues in respect of Project Himank.
He further added that personnel of Project Himank are in one of the inhospitable and rugged terrain and it is our moral duty to ensure that all personnel are paid their dues in time.
Earlier, Chief Engineer Brigadier Nitin Sharma stated that Project Himank has the vast area of responsibility of looking after the roads in eastern region of Ladakh.
He further added that this GREF Adalat will go a long way in boosting the morale of more than four thousand troops of BRO personnel.
