PK asks GoI to abandon peace process with Pak

JAMMU, Jan 16: Expressing serious concern over the oft repeated violation of peace process by Pakistan, Panun Kashmir (PK) today urged the Government of India to abandon the present dialogue process with neighboring country and instead evolve a new mechanism which builds stakes for communalism and secessionism, consolidates national forces in the State against the politics of separation and builds effective deterrence against Pakistan’s destabilizing role in the region.
Yet again violation of peace process by Pakistan has vindicated the stand of PK, which has from the day one been opposing any dialogue process with Pakistan in view of its role in destabilizing the India right from 1947, PK chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo along with senior KP leader Pt. O N Trisal and Kuldeep Raina general secretary told reporters here today.
Dr Chrungoo, while reiterating his stand said the so -called peace process has made accommodation with brazen secessionism and Islamic fundamentalism as expressions of democracy and nationalism.
He said the peace process has squarely failed to deliver and instead it has brought recurrent aggression, humiliation and demoralization for the people of India. Terming the path of peace process with Pakistan a path of suicide, the PK leader said that his organization from very beginning has questioned the very structure of the same, which was initiated from the days of the NDA rule.
He said the peace process has repeatedly brought the pitfalls to the fore when Government led by Dr Manmohan Singh tried to carry it forward and the recent developments are a testimony to the fact.
It is high time to realize that whatever Pakistan is doing is a logical expression of the security doctrine viz a viz India. This doctrine emphatically underlines India as the number one enemy of Pakistan, he added.
Dr Chrungoo said India should realize that the treachery and violence, which it has repeatedly faced is more a fall out of the self -deception inherent in this peace process.
He said the peace process has violated the most sacrosanct aspects of the country’s national existence like sovereignty and integrity of the nation. This has been so because concepts of shared sovereignty and porous borders have been part of the theoretical basis of the peace process.
He said the formation of rendering borders irrelevant has created strategic confusion and also started replacing strategic outlook with native wishes.
