IndianOil’s Art Exhibition inaugurated

MUMBAI, Jan 16: The 19th edition of IndianOil Art Exhibition was formally inaugurated by M Nene, Director (Marketing), IndianOil, in Mumbai today.
The art exhibition showcases the works of 48 artists, including painters and sculptors, in diverse media such as oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas, pen & ink, mixed media, ceramics, terracotta, sandstone, etc.
Well-known artists like Suhas Bahulkar; Vijay Achrekar; Parsharam Sutar; Mahadev Ingle, Shrikant Jadhav, Gajanan Shepal, etc. have displayed their work in the exhibition. Many young and upcoming painters like Hema Mhatre (Mumbai); Ganesh Hire (Thane); Nilesh Powalkar (Mumbai); Sandesh Khule (Pune); Vishal Wadaye (Thane); Vishal Sabley (Nagpur);  sculptor Prashant Bangal (Pune), etc, besides promising students from Sir JJ School of Arts, Thane School of Art, and L.S Raheja  are also participating in this year’s event.
The IndianOil Art Exhibition, unveiled for the first time in 1987, has over the years grown to be an integral part of Mumbai’s art calendar, standing testimony to the company’s commitment to promotion of art & culture, and encouragement to upcoming artists. The exhibition draws artists and audiences alike to the greater cause that champions the power of art, in enriching life.
The exhibition at the P.L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, Ravindra Natya Mandir, Near Siddhivinayak Temple, Prabhadevi, Mumbai, is open for public viewing till January 20 from 11 am to 7 pm.
