People in border belt fell insecure: BJP

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Jan 16: Senior BJP leader Kuldeep Raj Gupta today said that the people living in border belt of the State especially on Line of Control are feeling totally insecure with the of repeated violation of cease fire by Pakistan and brutal killing of two Indian soldiers on border recently.
Talking to reporters here today along with BJP press secretary, Balbir Ram, Mr Gupta said that it is unfortunate that Pakistani Foreign Minister instead of regretting its Army action is making provocative statements.
He said the Pakistan from time to time has violated the cease -fire and also indulged in killing of innocent civilians living on LoC by resorting to unprovoked firing.
He said the proxy war launched by Pakistan in the State has consumed thousands of lives and damaged the property worth hundreds of crores of rupees. Alone in Rajouri and Poonch district over 2000 people were killed in these years and militant training camps are still intact in Pakistan, he added.
Kuldeep Raj Gupta said the violation of cease- fire and Mendhar incident is the result of weak-kneed policies of Central Government. It is unfortunate that India being much powerful country than Pakistan is watching every act of neighboring country as a mute spectator instead of retaliating with full might to teach Pakistan a lesson once for all.
He said that Pakistan does not understand the language of peace, brotherhood and maintaining cordial relations with its neighbours so it should be dealt in the same way.
In view of the repeated cease -fire violation by Pakistan, Gupta demanded that borders in Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar and Nowshera sectors be sealed and second line defence force be set up to check the infiltration from Pakistani side. Besides the Army posts, which have been withdrawn should also be restored, he added.
