Rath was at his best while interacting and answering the queries of the students at Government Degree College (GDC) Bhaderwah. He left students laughing, clapping and shouting with his one liners and spontaneous replies.
When asked by the students about how he manages to acquire this particular talent despite the serious and stressful nature of job, IG quipped back by saying, “I am not talented only Tendulkar is. Whatever I possessed today is not because of talent but only hard work. I hope instead of relying on talent or luck, you should start nurturing your dreams with hard work and complete dedication”.
On a serious note, the top cop asked students to follow traffic rules, use helmets and especially avoid using cell phone while driving. “People in this part of the State are of the opinion that overloading is the root cause of frequent accident in Chenab valley, but I think using cell phone while driving is the main culprit”, he added.
Rath also asked the representatives of the Transport Union and drivers to refrain from overloading, overcharging, rash driving and use of mobile phones while driving.
Additional SP Bhadarwah Rajinder Singh, SHO Munir Khan, DySP Traffic Zohaib Hassan were also present on the occasion.
