JAMMU, Oct 13: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production staged today a musical play “Maa Sheranwali” at open air theatre Durga Bhawan, Janipur, Jammu, under its Saturday theatre series.
The function was inaugurated after lighting the traditional lamp by the chief guest, VK Magotra (former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India) while KK Joshi (vice chairman, BLSKS), Dr Tara Singh Charak (former Deputy Director, Health Department, J&K), JK Raina, Freelancer Producer-Director, Dr Anju Dogra from Health Department, J&K Government and Vinod Dogra (chief service engineer, Exide) graced the occasion as guests of honor.
The play commenced with welcome song “Jai Jai Sheranwali”, “Mayia He Mahiya Meri Mahiya” and “Tum Durga Tum Laxmi Tum Hi Maa Sheranwali”. The musical play was written, produced and directed by ML Dogra (chairman, BLSKS), who highlighted the importance of the play in his speech. The music was assisted by MC Kotwal, Usha Handoo and Raju Bajgal.
Artists who participated in the programme were Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, RP Amla, Rakshit Sharma, Druv Pandit, Bodh Raj, MC Kotwal, Deevam Jandiyal, Ujwal Sharma, Renu Sapoo, Tilak Raj, Sonia Pandita, Divya Viyas, Mohan Sharma, Megha Raina, Meetali, Meathli, Vansh Raina, Sapna Devi, Kuldeep Kumar, Vansh, Vanshika, Azeen, Dinakar Wedhera, Rahul Mehra, Afroz Raaz, Ravi Kumar, Sumita Bhat and many others.
