JAMMU, Oct 13: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Graduate Promotee Agriculture Officers’ Association (JKGPAOA) led by Ragbir Chand, vice president of the Association, met Director Agriculture, Jammu and apprised him of its long pending demand.
The deputation appealed the Director to conduct DPC to promote the ‘Agriculture Graduate as per 1988 rules’, which has been delayed for decades together.
In an indulgent manner, the Director showed earnestness to settle down the issue under the ambit of Agriculture Gazetted Service Rules of 1988. Taking positive initiative, he sought co-operation from JKGPAOA to prepare documents supported with relevant grounds to balance the strength of promotees and PSC direct recruits in Class VII Gazetted cadre without any bias as it lays the foundation for promotion to Class VI and above levels.
He assured that the solution evolved to conduct DPC for promotion of Agriculture Graduate to Gazetted level 1 (Class VII) and onwards will be taken up with Secretary, JKAPD immediately.
