7th Annual Conference of JK Chapter of ASI enters second day

JAMMU, Oct 20: The 7th Annual Conference of JK Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) entered into second day, where in lot of deliberations were held between the invited guest faculty and the delegates on various “Surgico-Ethical Issue in 21st Century”.
The proceedings of the conference were conducted under the supervision of Chairman Organizing Committee Prof NC Digra, HOD Surgery.
A guest lecture was delivered by Dr Dilip Gode, President of ASI on “Ethics and Surgery”, followed by a lecture by another guest faculty Padam Shree Awardee Dr P Raghu Ram on ‘Benign Breast Diseases”.
Dr Rajinder Parsad from AIIMS delivered guest lecture on “Laparoscopic Management of Achlasia Cardia”. There were two orations in the pre-lunch session in the name of Prof Mehmooda Khan delivered by Prof Nisar A Chowdri from SKIMS and another in the name of Dr KC Sharma delivered by Prof BS Pathania.
In the post-lunch session, there were panel discussions on “Ca Breast”, Ca Gall Bladder and guest lectures on various laparoscopic innovations.
Eminent faculty that participated in discussions were Prof HL Goswami, Prof Gurjit Singh, Prof Nisar A Wani, Dr BA Makdoomi, Prof Ajaz A Rather, Prof Ashutosh Gupta, Prof RK Chrungoo, Prof Biant Singh from Uttrakhand, Prof Iqbal Saleem, Prof Fazl Q Parry, Prof Tariq Azad, Prof SL Kachroo, Prof Suleman Choudhary and others.
In addition to this, there was “Mayasham Best Poster Presentation” session by PGs. This day is dedicated to PG teachings and panel discussions followed by valedictory function.
