SRINAGAR : Three militants were killed and two army soldiers were injured in a encounter at Laroo area of Kulgam in south Kashmir on Sunday morning.
Among the slain, two are Pakistanis and one local, two soldiers also received injuries in the operation, he said.
He said that earlier the cordon-and-search operation was launched in the village following specific information about the presence of some militants.
Earlier in wee hours, the encounter broke out after a joint team of army’s 9RR, CRPF and SOG cordoned off in Laroo village.
The operation concluded resulting into the killing of three militants. (agencies)
