One day conference of teachers held

SAMBA, Oct 24: One day conference of teachers was held under the banner of J&K United Teachers Association (USTA) Zone Ramgarh at Government Middle School Ramgarh.
The conference was held under the presidium of Rajeev Kumar, Raj Kumar, Madan Singh and Joginder Singh.
While addressing the teachers, Hari Singh Provincial President took strong exception to the fact that despite assurances and agreement arrived at between the Government and the agitating teachers, 7 Pay Commission benefits have not been released in favour of teacher, masters and headmasters working under SSA and RMSA schemes.
He appealed to make fool proof arrangement for the release of arrears as well as salaries of the categories of teachers on the last day of the month itself on regular basis.
In the conference, few resolutions were adopted including regularize all RET teachers who have completed their five years, regularize all incharge officers in Education Department, start pre primary classes in all schools having primary classes, debar teachers from all type of non academic duties, fill all vacant posts of masters, lecturers, headmasters, ZEOs and Principals through DPC, remove pay anomalies in master’s grade and sanction senior teacher grade in favour of trained undergraduate teachers, withdraw new self-contributory pension scheme and restore old pension scheme in favour of teachers and employees appointed on or after January 1 2010.
Later, eleven members zone committee was unanimously elected for Zone Ramgarh which includes
Vijay Dingra, Gopal Dass, Ram Dayal, Young Bahadur and Rajinder Singh as President, Senior Vice President, Secretary, Cashier and Organizer respectively, Abdulla, Ravi Kumar and Lakshmi Gupta as Vice Presidents, Rakesh Kumar, Joginder Paul and Najinder Kumar as Advisors.
Among others present were Rajiv Kumar, Sunil Thapa and Raj Kumar.
