2 drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Oct 25: Gandhi Nagar police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 28 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station laid a naka near cremation ground at Shastri Nagar and intercepted two pedestrians, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 28 grams heroin from the possession of the pedestrians and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Talvinder Singh alias Sunny alias Lita, son of Inderpal Singh of Model Town Gangyal and Tajinder Singh alias Mitti, son of Prithpal Singh of Narwal Bala Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 235/18 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia and assisted by SI Rohit Bhagat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani, SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
