JAMMU, Oct 26: The two day awareness programme for women organised by National Board for Worker Education in association with All J&K Pensioners and Civil Society Association culminated today at village Makhanpur, Bishnah.
Former MLA, Ashwani Sharma was the chief guest on this occasion and while addressing the gathering he highlighted importance of education among women.
About 40 women participated in the programme where topics like women empowerment, Beti Bachaoo, Beti Padao, Mother and Child Health etc were discussed.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Rajinder Singh, Kaushialya Devi, Jasbir Kour and Surinder Kour.
