KV Sunjuwan celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, May 4: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sunjuwan celebrated Annual Day with great enthusiasm in its school premises, here today.
Brig JS Mann Commander 36 infantary Brigade was the chief guest on the occasion, while Deputy Commissioner Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, PK Koul presided over the function. Sarabjit Mann, the first lady of the station gave away the prizes.
The programme commenced with the chanting of mantras and lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest and the other dignitaries.
The annual report was presented by Usha Shamindra highlighting the achievements of the school, while the students presented a kaleidoscopic panorama presenting glimpses of Indian Art and Culture promoting unity in diversity, which enthralled the audience.
The heart rendering theme of gender bias and women empowerment highlighting the theme of male centric mindset of male dominated society resulting in heinous and sinful acts like female foeticide, suppression of childhood dreams, illiteracy, eve teasing, character assassination, miseries of widowhood and callousness of society moved the audience to tears.
In the valedictory function, Sarabjit Mann distributed prizes among the students excelling in various fields, while the chief guest lauded the display of extraordinary skill and talent of the students.
